new year, new blog, no longer MIA

January 18th, 2010

Why all the newness you ask, well for quite some time now I have been re-assessing the focus (no pun intended) of my business. Things have changed a lot over the past 4 years, I started out wanting to shoot cars, I’m sure I will again some day, and not just when I want to sell my own, but Revving Images no longer reflects who I am, what I’m doing and where I’m going. What I really enjoy working on is fashion, weddings* and commercial jobs, haute photography is all about these things and more.

2009 was a massive year for me, I became a full accredited member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers), I left my part-time job to do photography full-time, I started planning my own wedding, I was accepted into SAYES (SA Young Entrepreneur Scheme), and landed a casual position at News Ltd. Now I am one of those annoying people who feels like they don’t work at all because I enjoy what I do!

So join me here often, I’ll keep you up to date with new work, share with you the things, places and people that inspire me and more than likely ramble on about stuff photography related and not! Oh and you’ll also find some of my favourite posts from my old blog.

*dont’ get me wrong, weddings are hard work, but I enjoy each one more than the last, I think it’s something called passion…
