This may be a bit pre-emptive as I haven’t exactly figured out how to incorporate this (yet!), but I just couldn’t keep it locked away anymore!

My fabulous sister-in-law and her husband didn’t want me working at their wedding, which worked out well for numerous reasons, one of them being that I was still allowed to take my camera and do a little experiment… enjoy*.

*and let me know what you think, I’d love to hear your comments!

Can we be your first clients? LOL I love it.

Last night’s Noir runway at the wine centre was just beautiful, jewellery from Gerard McCabe, models from both Finesse & Pride. I managed to get a ticket last minute and even though I wasn’t working I did have my camera with me, so here are some shots from my seat*:

Oh very nice, great post processing on these, good way to get around the horrible yellow light that was hanging around that night

Ha ha, thanks Brooke, I loved the hair lights going on from where I was, and, well it was Noir, so deserves B&W.

There’s something that I have been playing with a little bit recently in the way of “stop-motion” videos from still photographs. I used to work at an animation company so this kind of thing isn’t too foreign to me and I’m thinking I should be doing it more often.

The Adelaide Fashion Collective needed a photo taken of all of the contributors, which meant I had to be in it*. So interval shooting it was – perfect for a little experiment and so much fun for a Saturday morning….

Thanks to the Light Hotel on Light Square, Adelaide for letting us use their bar, and to the Ocean’s 12 soundtrack for the music!

A
xx

*Not exactly the way I like things to happen, especially on the day my hair straightener decided to die!

a couple if weeks ago I did a quick little shoot for the fabulous girls at Mylk Bottle at Mitcham. I set up in the store and pulled out the ring flash for this shoot, we had quite a few looks to get through and not much time so it was full steam ahead from the start with Louise and Carmen styling Olivia from Finesse Models in all their latest stock and Lisa (my assistant) helping to keep stray hair at bay*. Here are a few of the shots (you may have already seen them on that social networking site):

The fantabulous social club committee at the RAA put on a great mid year dinner for their members last week at the new function room at the Adelaide Zoo. Of course, the theme was animals and as per usual, the costumes were amazing. Even though I didn’t get to see Wang-wang & Funi in the flesh* there was plenty going on in the GiggleBooth to keep me occupied. Normally the GiggleBooth is done in B&W and has a simple white backdrop, but these guys went to an awful lot of effort with their costumes and that plant wall was just too hard to resist! Here’s a sneak peak:
